I got H1 this year. I was applied my ssn on oct 9 th. still i didn't get my ssn number. two days back ssn people called and told that "in online it is showing your EAd card. so we can give u ssn if you bring the EAD card". My question is if i give my EAD, will the h1 get cancelled. please suggest me.
Dont worry, showing EAD to SSA office will not cancel or invalid your H1B. Goto SSA office and tell them you have both H1B as well as EAD.

For how many years does the employer have to guarantee that it has funding to pay my salary? Or how does this thing work out. My employer has 300+ employees.

We have filed an I-130 for our dependant child of my husband who is currently an alien resident. We are trying to figure out how to get a work authorization form started for our son as well as he is old enough to work. We can not figure out how to answer his eligibility catagory. Can anyone assist us??

I have my EB3 filed with PD=Apr-2006. I dont see anything happening for next 6-8 years, and hence, I am also applying for Canada's PR. Probably, 2 yrs from now, I would move into Canada on PR and stay there for 3 yrs for citizenship.
With this in mind, should I go ahead for CP or I-485?

I have a question about a new H1-B application while I-485 is pending. If I-485 is pending and the person is currently working on EAD with expired H1-B, is there a requirement that the person has to leave the country to apply for a new H1-B based on pending I-485? If yes, will it affect the green card process negatively?
My attorney says that as there was a gap in H1 status, one has to leave the country for a new H1 application, even though it is with the same employer.

Is my birth certificate needed to invite my parents on visitor visa? Isn't my SSC certificate showing date of birth and both parents name enough?
Birth certifcate is a good document to prove the genuineness of the ties with people you claim to be your parents and whom you are trying to get here.
Its good to show it if you have it. If you are afraid of sending the Original send a US notarised copy.
The intention of the document is to only prove your ties with your parents.
If you do not have one or do not wish to furnish one, you can still try.

My 485+140 is currently with my lawyers for filing.
In the meantime, my wife's dates went current. Her lawyer says it is ok to apply her 485 and it is preferred so we have a backup.
However, BCIS might get confused and ask us to pick one 485 at a later date - but the lawyer advises to file it now and face it later.
1) Has anyone does this?
2) Should my wife apply EAD and AP as well or just 485?
3) What are the problems I should expect?

You can status will be Adjustment of Status ( AOS ) but cant work . IYou need a APO if you want to travel . If you want to work you need an EAD .

Thanks - I took this walking along a railroad bed that is no longer in use. I must have chased 10 of these things around before I finally got this one that would hold still long enough to get a descent shot.
