    Dear Gurus,

    I have applied for my I-485 in July 2007. A false DV case was filed against me by my ex-wife in January 2008 which was dismissed with prejudice in the court. I have all certified copies from court.

    Now I got I-485 first interview letter from USCIS which is scheduled in Detroit.

    Can I attend by myself or do I need to attend with a lawyer?

    Could you guys advice me..

    Mine and my wife's 485 must have been "touched" today ... not sure why though. The status still says "Case received and pending..."

    Any ideas fellow members? Could it be good sign or just standard update...?

    I am not anti-Sigma either, but I do not believe anything the produce from a digital body perspective (no pun intended) is going to influence, or drive down Canon or Nikon pro body prices. Build quality and other features keep the C and N scads ahead.

    Hello gurus,

    I have a few questions about my case.

    I have a 3year degree in Bachelors of Science (Maths) and a 1 year degree in BS in Computer Information systems from Golden Gate University in (San Francisco, CA). However at the time of my GC filing, my lawyer advised me that i cannot file for EB2 but for EB3, since my bachelors degree does not evaluate to a 4 year US degree (based on the single source rule). So i had to file my I-140 in EB3.

    Recently i read an article on murthy.com http://www.murthy.com/news/n_combdg.html this article clearly mentions that the person I-140 was denied by USCIS but the AAO overturned the case. I asked my lawyer about this, she says that even thought the person had two degree, they were from the same university, but from my understanding ethiraj college is an autonomous university.

    I have a feeling my case is similar, what do you'll think i should do..

    The web being what it is - is there an all inclusive list anywhere for lenses which fit a particular camera body? My particular interest would be for the Maxxum 7D but, I'm sure data like this would be useful for all camera owners.

    Sure, there are sites which review lenses and such but, an all inclusive list would make purchasing decisions more informative.

    Is it a warning to Americans that they will loose their land if they let more immigrants in?

    Anyway, my guess is that native Americans must have been a lot more friendly to White people when they just came to this land. Hospitality is the nature of people in less advanced society. The more advanced a society is, the less hospitable the people are because people in more advanced society have a stronger sense of ownership.

    Hi

    i recently got H1 Extension stamping ( Till 2011 ) and also have AP Expires in Nov 2008 .
    I am working on H1 and not interested to use EAD .Do i still need to renew my EAD and AP?

    just a tip not cool to hijack someone else' thread. on your question: If you are planning on being with the H1 sponsoring employer for the next few years no point renewing your EAD or AP. However they are two seperate filings. You don't need to have a valid EAD in order to apply for an AP renewal or vice versa. Hope this helps.

    No. OPT means in F1. As long as you register for enough credits, your status continues. The enough credits is determined by your international advisor.
