This just dawned on me. They are supposed to following the current law of per country limit first before distributing it. But how come all the EB3 countries are not available while they are distributing "extra" visas to overscribed countries? Countries like Iceland should always be current as they do not have a lot of EB immigrants. So you would excpect that at least some countries still have EB3 visas. However, it is not the case.
The purpose is to demonstrate that they do not have a process to follow the law. They screwed up before and they are screwing up again now. There have been other facts about their mismanagement that can be used to make the case. Therefore, they should compensate people who have been here patiently waiting with good faith... one way is to speed up processing cases pending for more than 5 years.

Very true, I was close to throwing up when i heard certain comments , so I would suggest please dont eat and watch this at the same time.

Did any of you get the same letter with the same content below .........what baffles me is the last sentence that says "The application will be reopened and the processing continued. Once the processing is completed, you will receive a notice under separate cover."

Looks like magic........Whoever has been working on my case from the past three months made a huge reversal decision in just a few hours on 05/14/2009 afternoon with atmost attention........I like this sudden surge in commitment and care on my case.......

I congratulate everyone whoes PD becomes current beginning of next month. But be aware that all of this is no good until USCIS acts on it. USCIS has to match and increase their pace of processing I-140 & I-485s for people to benefit of this movement. There are thousands of people whose PD have been current since April of this year and still they see no movement on their cases. PD becoming current is just the first & crucial step in the this long process, but now it all depends on how well USCIS responds by processing cases in FIFO manner.

I understand from your signature that you Receipt date is 7/2/07. was your case transferred to Vermont or something and transferred back to TSC. Do you know what was the Receipt date mentioned in the Transfer Notice. I am just trying to guess when they may come to my case. My receipt date for 485 was from Vermont and is 7/31/07. But then it was transferred back to Texas and this has a Receipt date of 10/1/07. I am just trying to find out which Receipt date will be considered to pre-adjudicate my application. Thanks.

Receipting people are not the ones adjudicating the cases. They are different people. So there is no used stopping the receipting.
If this news is true, then we can see "wild" approvals before the end of September. Some people with complete cases may overtake others.

Do not generalise all consulting companies...At least people working in these consulting companies sponsored GC and buying house and spending their money here. Most of the fradulent GC process was done by these croocked indian companies. They exploited the EB1C system to the maximum extend. Most of the times, they are not filing the GC and keep the employees as slaves or they exploit the EB1c fo their boot lickers.
Does anyone know such a bootlicker getting EB1c based GC? I wonder what a smart aleck that guy must been. There was a piece on NYT about India's penchant with lines and cutting lines by the uppity mongers..:D

Just called Scott Brown and Senator Greg. The person who picked up the phone in Scott Brown offcie noted my name and address. He said he will give my message to the Senator. The lady in Judd Gregg office said that Senator has not yet decided on the immigration proposal but she said the Senator appreciates the call. She did not ask my details but said that the Senator has supported immigration bills in the past. They both sounded very positive.

C�mon boy I�m not asking to make Steve miller their VP operation and use that million dollar in grants to fund that project. What I�m asking is �can you tell us how many applications you received of which chargeability and in which EB categories� and assurance that they will issue EADs and APs in less than 90 days. To ask this you don�t need citizen rights you are asking a public agency a service which they are supposed to provide and they are charging us to do that� I'm not saying we don't have rights, but what you are asking are the internal workings of a government agency.
You can't even vote. You can't even just change employers without hassle. You can't even just leave the country and come without proper documents. You can't even apply for a student loan. You can be deported any time you have a problem. You can't even renew your driver's license without showin proof of proper residency.
Even with GC your rights are still not as good as a US citizen.
Yes we do have rights.
But the government is only answerable to a certain level. You cannot ask for information of the internal workings of a government. That's not going to happen.

please post ideas on how we can all collectively address such issues. We have to spread awareness, get attention from law makers, remove the fear instilled into minds of people, guide people in the right direction.
Ideas and suggestions are welcome.
I would say we should start with local congressional office. Every case whether it is resolved or not should be taken to the attention of local congressional office.
If members volunteer to do this, we could distribute districts among ourselves and take care of each district's congressional office. In that way we could raise the awareness among the lawmakers. I do agree that not every office will be friendly to immigrants like my district's congressional office, but we have to try.
