The storyline continues. Last year, 13,500 regular H-1B applications were counted in the first week and 5,600 advanced degree applications. This year 5,900 regular applications were received in the first week and 4,500 advanced degree petitions. I am applying for renewal of EAD .I have two question regarding that.
My husband is primary applicant.
1.Should I apply with his ID or I can create my seperate ID and apply through that.
2.For c9 Eligibility status which option should I select?.

You need to have an 1-485 application in at least for six months before using portability.
You can contact a body shopper and ask them to file I-140 and use your current priority date.
There is nothing else possible if you are already at your sixth year of H1B.

started as an intern with local in the month of march 06 and I was given offer till end of august. but my school official gave me work permit on a semester basis and gave it only for srping 06, which end in may 15th. I couldn't update my CPT status for 1 day for summer 06 and started on 16th may, so the school official has said that i am out of status.Since re-instatement is not possible from school as it was unauthorized work permit. They have advised me to go to home country and attend visa to be eligible for reinstatement. I have grauduated last month with masters of science..
They said they will provide me recommendation letter for me to show to consular officer. Also, I have an MBA admit in same university for spring 2007.
so should i come to new program..if thats the case how to get an emergency appoitment.

Gurus,
I wanted to see if anybody on a US visitor visa travelled from US (New York) to Canada and back on Amtrak. I have following questions.
1. Where do you surrender I-94 (at NY station or at the US border entering into Canada).
2. Amtrak's website does not say much about the entry to US in detail. If you can provide detail that would be very helpful. What if they do a detailed check on you and you miss the train, what are your options. I assume they give you a new I-94 at the US-Canada border when re-entering USA.
3. Any other useful information that you can provide will be helpful.

hI ATTY I am working under an h1b visa right now as of 2011. But i had a previous petitioned by another employer way back 2006. There was an I-140 filed but it was denied and I never heard from my petitioner then. I do have the USCIS copy and case number. Can I look for another employer and atty that could reopen the case?? Please help me. Thanks

i created a "Deep Zoom classic + Source" template.
The only thing i still need for my project is to know when a image got clicked/is in the users focus!!! (a single subimage)!
I would be very thankful for help. (A method would be the best and the insert point!)
Yeah i know there are some methods on google but they don't fit in this generated code...
Deep Zoom is very cool but i don't understand why the api is so bad designed.
There should be a event on subimage, something like "Clicked", "focused"...

Ordinarily, the legislative process is paper-intensive. From the moment a bill is introduced by a member of Congress to its signature on parchment paper by the president, the printing office must print 10 different documents related to that piece of legislation, often doing the work overnight.
The agency is producing 3 million or 4 million pages a week for Congress from its 1.5 million-square-foot North Capitol Street headquarters, the largest information-processing, printing and distribution facility in the world. Tapella could not say how that compares with the workload under the last Congress.
All the talk of paper led some members of the panel to question why the printing office, which was created in 1813 when printing was a central tool in communication, hasn't gone all-electronic.
"Are you completely transitioning to a digital system as some point?" the subcommittee chairman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.), asked during a hearing.
The printing office is in the middle of a $29 million technological shift that will allow it to store and maintain all federal documents electronically, Tapella said. About 92 percent of everything it publishes now is available in an electronic format, said Michael L. Wash, the agency's chief technical officer. The agency produced its first online edition of the Congressional Record two weeks ago.
But Turri said the printing office will stick with paper until Congress directs it to do otherwise.
"It's kind of like the newspaper business," said Rep. Zach Wamp (R-Tenn). "They know things are going electronic, but they know people are going to want to read their newspaper with their coffee."

I am silent visitor of this forum for last few months though, I seek some advice form you guys in forum. I just got I140(On May 5th 2008) approved and my priority date 23rd Jan 2004. As per the visa current bulletin I am with in the cutoff dates. I have job offer but I did not accept so far because I 140 was not approved but after I 140 I thought of changing the job (same offer) using AC21 portability, since I fall in current cutoff dates,
My question is this safe to change the job when priority date fall with in current cutoff dates?
